It is easy these days to feel discouraged both with the difficulties we experience in our own lives and those that we see in the world. At this public talk Gen Kelsang Jangchub will share special ways of thinking from Buddha's teachings that give us many reasons to feel hopeful, inspired and deeply encouraged.

Classes include a talk, guided meditation and opportunity to discuss and ask questions. Please arrive a few minute before the event starts to check-in and find yourself a seat.

About the teachers
Gen Jangchub is the Resident Teacher at Akanishta Kadampa Buddhist Centre. An English Buddhist monk, he has practised Kadampa Buddhism for over 25 years, and is valued for the clarity, warmth, and practical example he brings to his teachings.
The Young Adults class, on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, is led by Paolo Nicosia a much loved member of the community whose easy manner, good heart and clear explanations make these valuable instructions accessible to everyone.

Parking: There's free parking behind the meditation centre for visitors.
Accessibility: The centre is accessed via a ramp at the front of the building, level throughout and has an accessible toilet. If you need help when you get here please ring the front doorbell and the event host will be happy to help you in any way we can.

A local charity: Akanishta Kadampa Buddhist Centre is a local charity entirely run and supported by volunteers, class fees and donations. We receive no regular grants. Registered charity number 1125213.
Cancellations: If you cancel 3 days in advance we offer a full refund for all events and all tickets. You can action this through Ticket Tailor using the 'Manage Tickets' button at the top of events listings and on booking confirmation emails. If you cancel less than 3 days before we are unable to offer a refund.
